Neutral Labor Arbitration and Mediation Services
I am Michael Brock, a neutral labor arbitrator and mediator located in Houston, Texas, but not restricted to this area. I have over 40 years of chemical and pharmaceutical industry experience, with over 30 years experience in HR, labor relations, bargaining, and arbitration. I have a solid understanding of both Union and Management perspectives, and my goal is to fully understand the issues from each party’s perspective in order to resolve labor relations disputes in a fair, equitable and efficient manner.
My Areas of Focus & Expertise
My practice focuses on neutral labor arbitrations and mediations to resolve employee grievances between Companies, Labor Unions, and employees. The cases primarily include disagreements over employee wages, hours, and terms and conditions of employment.
My extensive experience and highest levels of HR certification have provided me with a deep understanding and knowledge of how to achieve fair resolutions of employee grievances and labor relations issues in arbitrations, and how to bring closure of disputes with the best resolutions in mediations.
My Approach
I believe the Grievant, the Union and the Company each deserve an opportunity to fully present their cases in an impartial and efficient arbitration hearing. It is my job to thoroughly assess and evaluate each party’s case, to provide logical reasoning upon which my decision is based, and to render an award that is fair to all parties. I take this responsibility very seriously, and will do my absolute best to achieve these goals.
In mediations, I listen to the issues of both parties by maintaining a friendly and client-focused approach. With my years of expertise, I offer innovative and effective methods to achieve mutually agreeable solutions.
